A New Yorker Turned Texan!
Born and raised in New York, Alberto was surrounded by burgeoning creativity and compelling ideas that inspired him to initially pursue a career in marketing. After graduating in 2007, he worked with renowned brands like Don Julio, Johnny Walker, Nike, and Nintendo. Then, in 2017, the Lone Star State began calling his name. In Texas, he joined Ignite Restaurant Group and oversaw recognizable brands like Macaroni Grill, Brick House, and Joe’s Crab Shack.
Soon Alberto’s flourishing career path would lead him straight to the Triple Tap Ventures door. He initially joined our ranks as an Accounting Manager before evolving into his current role as the Controller. As Controller, Alberto oversees the accounting department, ensuring the financial gears are well-oiled and working smoothly as we continue to add more exciting brands to our roster. His commitment to excellence is invaluable as he plays a pivotal role in Triple Tap Venture’s economic success.
Who Inspires Alberto?
Alberto credits his success within Triple Tap Ventures to the influence of Neil Billingsley-Michaelsen, our CEO.
“Neil has provided me unwavering support, and opportunities for growth within the company. His mentorship, one-on-one guidance, and trust in Alberto’s capabilities allowed me to progress from an Accounting Manager to Controller. One thing Triple Tap Ventures does very well is nurturing talent from within, whether that leads them further with TTV or on to other pursuits.”
Alberto will often mention another figure who has left a lasting impact on his career — Robert Saucedo, a former employee at Triple Tap Ventures’ who directed all programming and film booking for TTV’s Alamo Drafthouse Cinema locations, but now works within the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema corporate offices in Austin, TX. Even though Alberto did not work directly with him, Robert’s passion for the movie business and genuine love for his work inspired Alberto to view his role at Triple Tap Ventures beyond just numbers. This broader perspective ignited Alberto’s appreciation for the company’s mission, contributing to his complete understanding of the business.
Alberto’s Life Beyond The Numbers
If you looked at Alberto’s life outside of work, you’d have to ask, “How does he do it?!” The answer is he’s just that dedicated! At the forefront of his personal life is his commitment to his family. He happily spends a significant portion of his time devoted to his exceptionally busy 13-year-old daughter. From driving her to various extracurriculars, such as theater rehearsals, cello practice, and diving meets, to attending baseball games together, Alberto is delighted to be there for his daughter as much as possible. His devotion to his family echoes the family-oriented culture that Triple Tap Ventures values and encourages.
Alberto’s love for sports, particularly baseball, softball, and Ultimate Frisbee, adds an active dimension to his personal life as well. As often as he can, he is out with his Ultimate Frisbee team throwing frisbees and then heading to watch the next Mets game. Unfortunately, he isn’t an Astros fan…yet.
